Aso Thank you very much. Speaking of which, people who came out of fashion magazines were at the entrance.
The list of permanent works is available on the website of Togenami.
Different for each exhibition KIKAKU exhibition: 1300 yen collection exhibition: 500 yen https://www.mot-art-museum.jp/guide/museum-info/
This museum is closed and planned to be renewed in March 2019.
Inconvenient location. Have to queue over an hour. I suggest to go during the week and buy tickets in advance. But i must say the exhibits are interesting.
Amazing exhibits in Tokyo.
You can see good modern design building and garden as well. Also have library.
Too many times temporary closed ...
Building is beautiful whats inside was hard to appreciate
They did a great work for the renewal and smart collection acquisition. I love the freedom to enjoy art, no one to shout at you if you get a bit close from an art object or talk. They let you live art, which ls not so common in Tokyo.
very nice museum with great exhibits. it is newly reopened and the architectural design is great
World-class contemporary art museum.Featuring amazing huge spaces, special exhibitions and a couple of cafes.Based within an equally impressive building next to a park.
Loved some paintings by Koji Nakazono!
Went there to see the Dumb Type anniversary exhibit. My first time there and it was nice. If you love the arts and have a specific artist you want to see I would suggest giving it look.
Please do not rely on the opening times/schedule from google. The museum is NOT open today or other days this month listed as “open”. The museum resumes regular hours when the next show opens on March 14th!
A must visit for contemporary art lovers.
Amazing refab, well curated (weave exhibit), dramatic rooms, fabo
Amazing architecture and always a brilliant display of artwork. The staff is very accommodating. The collection is always tasteful. Wonderful location!
Beautiful! This museum is both wonderful in its physical structure as well as its curated content. Highly recommend.
It has huge exhibition rooms and takes 10 min walk from Kiyosumishieakawa St. If youre interested in contemporary art, you should visit there.
Reopened in this April. Its exhibitions have never disappointed me.
Amazing building in itself worth a visit.Seems to always have good exhibitions on, went to the current showing about Tokyo and it's future which was very interesting. Two good cafe choices with nice food.
Have to take either a 2 stop bus or walk 15 minutes from the nearest subway stop. Quite costly for multiple exhibits, but well curated.
Looking forward to next Exhibition (あそびの時間 Play Time) which looks good for kids too.
Love it
I love this museum!!!
The Olafur exhibition was good. But the main gallery costs 3000 yen to visit which is too much
Recommended, first class architecture + great art
nice and morden position. suitable for having nice picture
It's a little but beautifuly curated art museum
The special exhibition 'Weavers of Worlds' was incredible, with many bizarre and fascinating pieces. The standard MOT exhibition was a bit modern arty for me, and small, so I didn't enjoy that so much and was through there very quickly.
I visited on a rainy weekday for its normal exhibition. It was quite empty and half of it was under maintenance. The works were quite organized though, and there is a small library inside.
Fabulous building with beautiful Art pieces well displayed
Went to see Olafur Eliasson’s work and had a nice experience. Will visit again
The architecture of this museum is so beautiful. It's very spacious and houses up to three special exhibitions in addition to permanent collection. Could take a couple hours. There's a cafe and a store selling expensive and stylish designer clothes and objects. The programming is very relevant.
Renoveted Modern Art Museum. Very interesting.
Went for the Pixar 30 year exhibition, nice facility but it was constant bumping into people. Crowds are huge and I feel with all the tourists, they can have some more foreign speaking workers
Closed long time for its renewal. ~2019.03This is nice contemporary museum located next to Kiba Park.If you’re going to this museum by train, you need to walk 10min+ from nearest station.
Heads up that it's closed until March 4, 2016.
Fun museum, the special exhibits were particularly more impressive than their permanent collection.
Olafur Eliasson is on, the exhibition is really small and just not well put together. It would be terrible if this was anyone's first ever Olafur Eliasson exhibition, doesn't do his work justice at all. I would skip this, not worth the walk.
Nice place, modern architecture.
Very nice architecture!
Love all the museums in Tokyo. Affordable and clean!
Super cool museum. Great temporary manga exhibit.
A great place to see Japanese contempary art
Beautiful museum of art .
Nice new museum and very nice building!
As of 31/01 the museum is closed for renovations!!!
Nice building, but not easily accessible. Only a part of the collection on display.
A bit far from the station. But the museum has a good art gallery.
Haha, natsukashii, I installed the lights on the entrance hall when I worked there in the 90's for an electric co. called Sasaki densetsu, it took me two or three months. I never had the chance to go back and and see how beautiful it is now. Someday maybe! The staff members were, Sasaki shachou, Ogawa-san, Nihei-san, Higashi-san, Sekine-san, Nakagawa-san, Shô-chan, watashi and the helpers. Minna san o daiji ni!
Went to yoko ono exhibition. I'm not really a fan of her works but the building and they way they displayed the exhibition was really cool.
Impressive.
